After almost three decades managing the complex personal financial affairs of affluent families which included daily, active derivative trading, I could see that artificial intelligence would be the likely replacement for analytic and strategic portfolio planning skills.  

However, I did uncover an opportunity in merging my understanding of financial asset ownership with the importance of assembling and maintaining accurate records, especially in instances where a life emergency required immediate access to very personal information and instructions.  You’d be surprised to know how few spouses had immediate access to their life-long mates cell phone, computer, bank logins, retirement accounts and more.

It wasn’t until I was responsible for my own parents’ affairs, did I grasp the gravity and responsibility of securing immediate access to what is often very confidential yet extremely necessary to coordinate tasks like arranging health care, accessing on-line bill paying, coordinating insurances, monitor investments or retirement plan distributions, and especially dealing with Social Security and Medicare.  Rarely did our clients have detailed final arrangement plans.  Nor did they have specific instructions for their heirs to follow.
